Ficklewood Ciderworks - Long Beach

Awesome cidery in the heart of Long Beach. We enjoyed live music on a sweet Saturday night. Pinball machines!

I love this place! Full disclosure: I don’t really love their ciders, and if you don’t like cider, it’s a tough spot for a drink. The ciders are super high percentage though lol, but kinda expensive and not very sweet. Pro tip: it’s a better deal to get the tasters!! But if you’re just going to hang, it’s super fun and they have tons of games and often food trucks. They do comedy nights and maybe trivia or something too? Fun vibes!

Cute place to meet friends or take a date and you can bring your own food! Ficklewood has a great selection of ciders and is a nice alternative to a basic brewery. That being said, having a few non cider options for people who don't drink or enjoy cider but want to come along with a group or attend an event would be a good addition to the menu. There are seats outside and indoors, and several customers brought their dogs with them! The inside area has classic pinball machines and fun vending machines. They also host special events like comedy or open mic nights throughout the month, and have a ton of games you can play at your table. The staff are friendly, but last call is early around 10, so this is definitely an evening hang rather than a late night bar. Not their fault, but parking is really really tough. If possible, uber into the downtown area. It took me about 45 min to find parking on a Friday evening.

Incredible find with some deliciously flavorful ciders. (Personally, not a cider drinker, however, the one I tried was very smooth tasting with somewhat of a champagne flavor.)And, wonderfully decorated, reminiscent of a few apple orchids farms along the Northeast, and perhaps, Northwest of the States. ? A Chess table would complement the place perfectly.Absolutely, worth a try and highly recommended. ??????

Absolutely amazing! We tried almost every cider they had, and they were all great. They even had boardgames and pinball to play! The seating was comfortable as well. Our bartender was so nice. I also liked that we could bring in our own food. Great place!
