Marina wine is history. It is now the second location of the Waters Edge Winery main location located on Pine Avenue in downtown Long Beach. Marina wine was not successful, and I predict Waters Edge will not make it in this place either. Prices are really high, but if you go to Happy Hour, you can get $5 from a $15 or $16 glass of wine. IMO, the Waters Edge wines leave much to wish, but every taste is different. I finally found a red one I liked Big Daddy. Food offers are a charcuterie board $20) and a small magherita pizza $13). We asked to see a wine menu, and although we were given one, we were told that there was an old menu, so every wine we wanted was not on it. When Waters Edge took over this place, they inherited the broken furniture from the previous wine bar and did not disturb it to replace it. Water Edge only took over about 3 weeks ago, and maybe it will improve. I don't feel hopeful.
This is my first time here and my experience was the best because of the service of Chris M! Chris was extremely familiar with the menu and made a great red wine recommendation for my party and I that we loved. He was super helpful and knowledgeable in the menu and our experience would not have been the same without him!
Great place with an excellent happy hour. The staff was incredibly helpful to navigate the selection.
Love it!!! First time here a few weeks ago and it's just the type of place I'm about! It's a small but cozy wine bar. We came on a Saturday night and there was live music playing by Acoustic Soul Express! They were great musicians and were so cool. The staff were friendly and kind. The wine was excellent! I try to avoid overly crowded places like Ballast Point if I can because I get overwhelmed so this was the perfect date night! Highly recommend!
