We recently celebrated our anniversary and I ordered the shortrib w/mashed potatoes vegetables. My husband had the ribey, potatoes and asparagus for dinner... of course we started with the Ceasar Salat and Calamari as an appetizer YUM! The Calamari was so fresh, crispy, not chewing and the dipping sauces were delish!!! At the end of our night the waiter came with a free dessert chocolate cake and ice cream, so decadent and a perfect way to finish the night...
We are lucky at our timing because Long Beach has its Restaurant Week event, so we try their special Restaurant Week menu that was a fixed Prix selection of some of their best specialties. The service was very nice, and the management and the staff was very accommodating on a food allergy I had, which would not allow me to have a dessert that was on the Restaurant Week menu - they allowed me a substitution that was estimated.
Quickly sitting and immediately engaged, the attentive staff and servers set the time for a fantastic experience for my small family of three. We ordered an Old Fashion Laphroaig for adults and a cranberry juice for my daughter and all drinks came shortly after. After some recommendations, we had salad on the Salmon and Double Cut Pork Chop, along with a larger dinner, with the addition of grilled shrimp. We chat for what seemed like a few moments and were rewarded with three extraordinary dinners that immediately had our mouth water! The salmon, pork and shrimp were cooked for perfection while the salad was prepared with fresh crispy ingredients. A Friday party that has managed to melt the worries of the long week in no time.
Large and super trendy place for drinks or a nice meal. All we tried from the large and varied menu was delicious, except the Tomohawk Steak was only average, ironically the most expensive element). Sandwiches and burgers are usually $18 to $20) but some of the full entrees run into the $40s and above. There is also a large beverage card and barbecue. Service was great! The restaurant is located in a complex full of similar hip phrases that makes for a fun environment, but also means parking can be hard.
This place was so good! Clean, relaxing, and the staff were super friendly. I ordered the Knife and Fork Burger and it was AMAZING!! We also ordered blood orange margaritas and I wanted to get like three more, but I was driving so I had to stick to the one! If you are thinking about this place, go and give it a shot. I doubt you will be disappointed!
