Once inside you are asked to order from a select menu, but you can ask for a specific drink (I.e. martini). The night we went we had a sizable party and there was one waiter hustling his butt off to get drinks to everyone- so we had to wait a bit. We also ate at the restaurant attached to the site. The food was surprisingly good. To be honest I expected a classier atmosphere at the restaurant but they made up for it with the menu.
Enjoyed our visit to the Exhibition Room. The drinks were very well made, service was excellent and loved the ambiance. Would definitely go back.
So. My very kind, sweet, thoughtful significant other saw a random reel on this speakeasy and decided to book a reservation for our anniversary, unbeknownst to Hilary coming to town. Upon the weekend approaching, we both called multiple times throughout the day (both Roxanne's and the exhibition room's line). Nobody answered. The voicemail boxes for both numbers are full. The reservation email says to call if you're running late or need to cancel. Buuuut you can't if nobody answers, and if you can't leave a message. This is easily a quick cash-grab for anyone with reservations during the storm, and leaves a poor taste in my mouth.
The exhibition room is a cool little speakeasy located within roxanne’s in long beach. to enter them to the phone booth in the back, pick them up.
The exhibition space is one of my top prech rooms to go in LA area (long beach is a tad far from dtla, but worth visiting! from intimate ambiente to.
