Brooks - Long Island City

I had food delivered to my home a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much that I decided to eat there the day before Mother’s Day with my children and grandchildren. I had one of the best French Onion Soups and Linguine wth Clam Sauce. Everyone enjoyed their food.

Food, drinks, wine, etc are all totally fine. nothing to write home about, and it won't give you food poisoning. i go for the ambience. gruff but friendly old-school waitstaff and an awesome interior.

Was in town for some meetings and rolled into this joint to grab a bite to eat while walking back to my hotel. Cheeseburger was pretty damn good and the fries were hot, so no complaints from me. Price was decent as well. Worth the detour.

A charming old-world bar and restaurant with a cheerful neighborhood feel. Cinematic interior and bistro American plates served hot. A mix of regulars, workers, and business classes. Many echoes of past laughs and good times hang in the air.
