Food is ok...I liked the menu at the old place better. It seems to be busy all the time, so probably a good business decision for Burt and the team. I am back to looking for a good, small, local go to place for dinner with the family.
Delicious place with a warm, comfy atmosphere. Ashley is always happy to see us, and knows what we all like to drink. See what their special pizza is, they are always good. Their buns are great. The macaroni and cheese is great as well.
Great food, perfect location, wonderful staff! The best restaurant in the western suburbs hands down. Save room for dessert!!!! Everyone I know can't wait for their new, bigger location ON the lake.
This is the the best restaurant BY FAR in the Plymouth/Long Lake area and is one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities. It is a hidden gem! If you are looking for something more authentic than Green Mill or Jakes and nicer than pub food like Sunshine Factory or Cowboy Jacks, this is just about your only choice in the area. My wife and I have gone about six times in the last two years and have tried a good portion of the menu. We have liked everything! Our favorite entrees are the truffled shrimp casserole and veal bolognese dish. For appetizers, I love that they have Oysters on the half shell. The wedge salad is non traditional but really good! The birches buns are great for happy hour. My only criticisms (and in actuality could be seen as positives), are that the space is limited (which makes it cozy) and service is more at the pace of a European restaurant (you don't feel rushed and makes it more of an event). I highly encourage anyone to try this restaurant.
We were told to leave as we had used more than the 1 1/2 hour allowed per dinner seating. Told hosted that I would not be back and he did not care!
