Always a couple of guest ales. A proper pub. No food but, you can take a take away in with you

Went in the Swan before having a meal next door in the Netherton house. The barman asked if I’d like to put the drinks on a tab which I agreed to. As a complete oversight on my part I started to walk out of the door and outside without paying. (My fault). I was then shouted rudely by a female barmaid. I instantly realised what I’d done and apologised profusely, I was grunted at and given dirty looks. When I got back to the bar I apologised to the same lady and explained it was an over sight to which she was still extremely rude and didn’t acknowledge me at all apart from poking the card machine in my direction and continued with the dirty looks. Bearing in mind it was two drinks so wasn’t like I’d attempted to steak the Crown Jewels. Won’t be returning whilst she is an employee of the pub. We all make mistakes and should not be treated as criminals... shame!

Nice pub, cozy, good ambiance. Had a lovely pint of Antler ale. 2 other real ales available. Don't know why the pubs in Long Stratton don't do food. Would be a great place to eat.
