Viewmount House - Longford

I had a fantastic experience at Viewmount House this week. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I had dinner at this lovely restaurant last night. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Had the pleasure, for 2 nights in the March 2022. the room (nr. 3 in the top floor of the house) was fantastically beautiful and comfortable four poster beds with a decent bathroom. these rooms would not be suitable for people who have difficulty treppening because there is no elevator. there are more bedrooms in the “new” part of the building and these are on the ground floor, so no barrier-free asking, and are also very spacious and well appointed. eating is fantastic. they have the breakfast and they are set for the day! and the dinners were just as good siobhan (the chef cook) has a passion for quality and for tasty eating and nothing is too much annoying for them. I understand that in the last months there was a change of the peculiarity and management, we had not when the former owner/manager was there, but all that staff was fantastic and nothing was too much annoying for them. overall, viewmount house is a great place to stay with wonderful accommodations and eat and I am looking forward to return (hopefully in summer when the flowering!

We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant, a group of 5 adults and 2 children. It was the most special event for a very long time. The food was outstanding as was the personal service. Chatting with the chef after, it was clear to see that she is passionate about her profession. Great value for money. It's been about four weeks since we were there but the memory is fresh. Looking forward to repeat visits.

Stayed for a night mid February. We were lucky enough to get one of the lovely suites. It's a really old style house. The entire place was super clean, not easy in an older building. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, every dish was perfect. Breakfast excellent served in a gorgeous room. I recommend taking the time to explore the house and grounds. We will definitely vist again.
