Booshay's Bayou Cafe - Longview

I recently visited Booshays for the first time, and I have to say, the food was outstanding—even as takeout! I can only imagine how incredible it would taste if I dined in. The crawfish étouffée was the best I've ever had, and the catfish and large shrimp were amazing as well. They offer fantastic beers alongside even better food! I even asked for some of their seasoning to take home. I can confidently say there's no other place nearby—unless you're in Shreveport or the bayou—that offers the authentic flavors and generous portions found at Booshays. Now my only concern is how I'll manage to get out of bed in the morning because I'm so stuffed!

Honestly, I've heard a mix of opinions about this restaurant, but I decided to take my family out for a celebratory dinner tonight for one of our family members. I thought it would be a suitable choice for both fish lovers and those who prefer other options. I'm so glad I gave it a shot! We were all thoroughly impressed with everything! The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Sarah, handled our large party of 11 with ease, even though we don’t get together often and can get a bit wild and loud. She was incredibly sweet, patient, and kind, especially considering there were more kids and teenagers than adults in our group. I will definitely return! Thank you all for a wonderful experience!

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend trying the Shrimp Creole—it's my favorite dish!

We visited with friends on Friday night and were pleased to find no wait. I can't express enough how fantastic this restaurant was! We started with the sampler appetizer, and the boudin balls, gator bites, and fried pickles were all absolutely delicious. For my main course, I ordered the stuffed shrimp, and I was not disappointed! Our server, Jaylen, was attentive and friendly, enhancing our experience. The atmosphere was lively and relaxing after a long work week. We were also celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and Jaylen surprised him with a small molten lava cake topped with ice cream. If you're looking for amazing Cajun food in a great setting, this is the place to go. I know we will definitely be back again and again!

I did not feel I got my money's worth, and the prices listed online were incorrect. The three different dishes I ordered ended up being a dollar more each than what I saw online when I checked my receipt. As for the food, it wasn't as flavorful as I had anticipated, although the stuffed shrimp was actually quite good. This will be my first and last time ordering from here.
