The Boiler Room Taphouse - Lorain

I had an excellent experience dining at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. I will definitely return!

When the waitress finally arrived, she was attentive and provided excellent service. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the same standard. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer, which cost about $14 and was served in a small bowl. It mostly consisted of cream cheese with just a bit of spinach and artichoke mixed in. While it didn’t require a large serving due to its richness, the price felt excessive for what we received. I also ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, which turned out to be the driest wrap I’ve ever had. It seemed like they forgot to add any dressing. I should have mentioned it to the staff, but I was eager to leave by that point. This wrap set me back $16, and it was quite disappointing. Additionally, my mother-in-law ordered a flatbread with sausage, but when it was served to her, it arrived without the sausage. They didn’t inform her of the shortage until it was already on the table, which I thought was inconsiderate. The waitress did offer to take a few dollars off the bill, but overall, we were left unimpressed. Lastly, my daughter's kid-sized mac and cheese was $10 and came in a rather small portion. I've never seen kids’ menu items priced so high for what was served. While the atmosphere inside was pleasant, the experience felt odd, and the costs were much higher than we anticipated. I understand that prices have increased, but the disparity between the menu prices and the quality of the food is why we won’t be returning.

The menu options are quite limited and not very appealing. The prices are steep for the quality of food served. Additionally, the bartenders were rather unfriendly.

Absolutely rude bar tenders!!!! We wanted a frozen drink (strawberry dacarqui) and the bar tender was absolutely horrible!!! She would not even look us in the eye and was short with us!!! They weren't even busy!!! Turns out some how they were out of frozen drinks!!! We saw multiple people with frozen drinks at there tables!!! By far altogether she was absolutely horrible!!! I would not suggest!!!!! If I could I would give no stars!!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Food was cold to!!!!!

I had the BEST fish sandwich I've ever had at this place the other day. And I've grown up fishing and eating from lake Erie my entire life.The walleye sandwich will have you rocking about it says later like I am now. I guarantee it!!!
