Chanpen Thai Cuisine - Los Angeles

I tried this place for the first time today and got the crab fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and gyozas. Everything was so good and flavorful, will definitely be coming back!

Enjoyed take out from Tawan Thai again and the fried rice remains exceptionally delicious along with the Pad Woon Sen (glass noodles) which was full of crunchy, colorful veggies. Left overs were just as good the next day. Grateful to have this lovely eatery nearby and look forward to trying more items on their menu.

Tried this place for lunch and it was pretty good. I frequent the other Thai place in the next plaza over but this one is better. My friend ordered the red curry chicken and I ordered the noodles. Tasted the red curry and it was great. Think I will try that next time. Loved the noodles as I typically order pad thai. Papaya salad was light and tasty. Would definitely go back and try other things on the menu!

The meals were average. We ordered Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and pineapple curry. The curry was too spicy for me, the Pad Thai and Thai were average since I didn't taste anything special from them. Somehow disappointed by the Tom Yum Noodle Soup since all I found there was the rice Noodle, some eat sprouts, and a few pieces of fish cake. But the biggest thing that disappointed me and made me decided not to comeback again is that the people serving in the kitchen did not wear their mask properly. The lady who looked like she was in the major responsibility to cook the food had her mask down around her chin all the time, not covering her mouth at all, and she did talk to others while preparing the meal. The other lady there took off her mask to talk to her co-workers, latter finally put her mask back on maybe because she realized that I was looking at her. I would said at the time of pandemic, that makes me feel very unsafe, so I definitely won't comeback.

Only got a pic of my Thai tea but the food was absolutely amazing! Got the spicy chicken wings, chicken chow mein, Tom yum soup, and vegetable egg rolls. Even when I reheated the food, it was still just as good as when I first received it. Small little shop but they're nice and have yummy food. Also, the Thai tea was just too good. Even if you're not hungry for Thai food, come in and just have their Thai iced tea! It not sweet or watered down like other places. It's the perfect balance and so so good.
