Kenbey Sushi - Los Angeles

We’ve been coming here since they first opened although it’s been a minute since our last visit. Their prices have gone up by a bit since our first visit, but lunch today was good and quick.

An authentic lovely Japanese omakase place in the Silver lake area.The staff are so incredibly friendly and kind.The food is fresh, well prepared and delicious.I prefer the sushi bar seating.

Don’t follow the reserve link just call them, leave a voice mail and you would probably get a table that same night!! We were there on a Saturday night and it was completely empty except for 2 other tables. I suspect people are seeing the resy options not available for the weekend and thinking they are booked out!Everything we ate was so fresh and delicious and Kenji has the best Santa Barbara uni hands down. The server also recommended a bottle of sale and it was so good follow her recommendations. Definitely comjng back here again

Had our anniversary dinner here and each dish was better than the next. Sitting at the counter with the friendly chef was a wonderful experience, he's clearly very passionate about his restaurant. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The sushi is very high quality, every dish was truly delicious, and yet the atmosphere is casual and not pretentious. Can't recommend highly enough.

Finally we have EXQUISITE sushi in Los Feliz/Silver Lake! And not even that...but Kenbey is one of the best sushi restaurants in all of LA!!! It rivals all the top Valley spots, Sushi Park, Matsuhisa, Matsumoto, Go's Mart, Sushi Spot, Sushi Zo, you name it! There's flawlessly fresh golden eye snapper, red snapper, melt in your mouth scallops, salmon belly, halibut, halibut fin, ocean trout, plus unique fish you can't find anywhere else. It's also owned and operated daily/nightly by the sushi chef Kenji san. Support this incredible local business you won't be sorry!
