Rather than acknowledging the mistake while I was cleaning up, she acted as if nothing had happened and even asked, "Did I drop something?" I requested new chopsticks because the ones I had were wet, but she continued to be dismissive. It was clear that she didn't care about her job. Although the food was excellent, the overall experience greatly overshadowed the meal. Instead of offering complimentary drinks, I suggest investing time in training your staff.
Overall, it was a pretty solid experience. We stopped by for a semi-recovery meal and some preparation. Luckily, we managed to snag a table in the walkway for our large group. The service was helpful with our questions, but water refills were a bit infrequent. We ordered a couple of summer rolls to share at the table. I had the vegan pho and a couple of banh mi to go (tofu and chicken). The summer rolls were quite interesting; I enjoyed the grilled pork and the balance of ingredients. The vegan pho was good as well—the broth was served hot, and there was a nice variety of vegetables in it. However, I found the broth to be a bit on the plain side; thankfully, adding oyster sauce and sriracha helped to elevate the flavor. As for the banh mi, they were just okay. I was hoping for more balance and a better presence of pickled vegetables, to be honest. The flavors were good, and the tofu was well-prepared, but it really needed the pickled veggies to enhance it. The chicken also had good flavor, but once again, the pickled veggies were lacking.
P h o r e a l Really yummy!! A hole in the wall, this somewhat hidden gem is small but with quick efficient service and delicious pho/broth. We got seafood and house special phos and the portions were enough to get us full. Also got pork sausage patty spring rolls that came with a sweet sauce, also not bad. Not superior to pho places in the south side (also more expensive but decent for the craving. Noodles soft and chewy just how I like. n o t e z Came on a weekday morning so it was not crowded and service was super quick! Parking lot is small and tight so I imagine this being hard in busier times (but it's ktown so yea.. . Prices on the steeper end for pho tbh but if I'm in the area craving pho I'll have this place in mind.
At this time of the year, a hot soup always helps in all circumstances, but pho is one of my favorite soups. The broth is so delicious, and I had gotten this to go, and the packaging is really cool. I did have to wait for my order, but that's how good the place is, and it's worth the time. The banh Mi was so delicious. The place was not the nicest-looking, but it did look clean.
This is place is a bit of a hole in the wall, but a hidden gem! I actually visited a shop in the same strip, and didn't even realize it was here!I ordered the filet mignon pho, and everything was delicious, the broth flavorful and clear.I would have liked more of the sides veg/mint although to be fair I didn't ask for more.Would recommend!
