La Union - Los Angeles

This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I absolutely loved it. I ordered three pupusas revueltas and plantains. My mother enjoyed her salad as well. The server was fantastic, I would rate them a 5 out of 5. The bathroom was also clean. I will definitely be coming back here again.

This restaurant does not even deserve a star. The service and experience were the worst ever! I visited from out of state and decided to take my family while shopping in Santee Alley. From the moment we arrived, it was a horrible experience. I saw two mice walking around, one in the kitchen and the other in the dining area. Then we were approached by a man on a bike who claimed to be the owner. We accidentally left the door open as we entered, not realizing it didn't have a mechanism to close it gently behind us. The man on the bike immediately began to curse at us when we tried to explain what happened. I told my family to get up and let's leave. No one should be treated this way, especially when everything is just opening up after Covid. If they want to attract tourists, they need to ensure their restaurant is clean and free of visible rodents. I don't expect an apology from them for this terrible experience.

I love the food at that place, I buy chicken soup almost every day. I highly recommend it.

Im giving all 5 stars because although it is a hole in the wall we were able to eat and enjoy our food. The food was so authentic down to their horchata. It was some of the best salvadorean food I've had. Prices are a bargain great for takeout! Customer service was outstanding. Hands down great salvadorean food.

So glad we stopped here. They know what they are doing. Great food!! Everything was cooked perfect and very tasty. Hard to find but a real hidden gem!
