We were out and about sight seeing and wanted to try something new. Came across this little restaurant and there wasn't much of a wait so we got seated pretty quick. The waiter was very nice and was very prompt. We both tried the first two entrees on the menu and they both were very good. You get a good variety and good portions. Would recommend.
I don't know how I feel about this place. Its just mediocre. One of the waitress gave me so much anxiety. We kept on asking for a few minutes to look through the menu and within 5 minutes she would stop by several different times. Then when we were eating she was no where to be found. The other waitress and staff were nice though. The layout of the restaurant is abnormal. When you enter the restaurant, the left side is isolated from getting any attention. I'd recommend sitting in the main room right when you enter the restaurant.None of the food stood out to me. I always go to the restaurant next door and always had a better experience there. Also I hope this random piece of hair doesn't fall in anyone's food.Parking: There is 2 hour parking with validation from this restaurant.
The interior is stunning, lots of elegant woodwork throughout. Come early or there’s a wait, but it’s worth it.
For a sushi spot in Little Tokyo, I had more expectations for the quality of the food over anything. I got the sashimi platter to try the different fishes and my first impression was the temperature. It was warmer than room temperature, but after taking a bite of each fish, a lot of them were chewy and not fresh at all. The most disappointing one was the shrimp, as it was slimy and the fishiest tasting one out of the 12. Overall, I expected better quality, but was disappointed. As for the environment, the staff were very kind and lovely, and quick at their work, however the fishy smell when walking into the closed off location was very unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this location.
