Especially the purple rice, I think the rice is supposed to be on the denser side as texture balance for the soft poke protein, but it was too hard. I’d really love an option to have steamed rice. Also, had one of their fatocron strawberry cookie dessert, and it was more cream cheesy than ice cream cookie (which is what it looked like). I’ll def. go back to try other items, and see how spicy “their actually spicy” poke is.
Some of the best butter ramen. All their food is worth its weight in gold
Had the Garlic Miso Ramen veggie style without the bokchoy but with the egg. I think this was the best broth for ramen I've ever had and I've been to a lot of Ramen places. The creaminess, saltiness, and viscosity were at their peak blending levels. Combined with the truly perfect soft flavored egg and amazing-on-its-own soft tofu this meal is proof Pisces is legit and deserves their accolades in every review out there.
They were pretty slow at getting the food made due to only having 3 staff there. They were very gracious and gave some extras (an extra drink and some ice cream) due to how slow it was though.Food: 5/5
Pisces Poke Ramen ranked #2 on Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. for 2020 and I recently decided to try their lunch takeout. I discovered that they also have another location in West Hollywood.[Parking]: They offer a convenient free private parking lot with plenty of spots. However, it's worth being cautious when leaving the plaza, as there might be blind spots with oncoming traffic.[Ordering]: Upon entering, I noticed that customers place their orders through a user friendly touch screen system. This ordering interface allows for specific requests, including accommodations for food allergies. It's a straightforward process that ensures accuracy for each unique order. Expect approximately 15 minute wait.[Menu]: The Yelp's top recommendation is Truffle Salmon. With each poke order, customers can opt for purple rice salad, salad only, or soy purple rice and salad additional $1 . They also offer various side options such as musubi, plate, hand rolls, and macarons by SweetAtti. Truffle Salmon Sashimi Poke purple rice salad $18.95 : The presentation of this zesty salad bowl was impressive. Alongside the poke sashimi, it also came with a seaweed salad and edamame. It was a solid, but not overly amazing dish.Hawaiian Poke Combo half tuna half salmon, egg avocado musubi spicy, blue crab and shrimp handroll, diet coke $31.95 extra $1 for blue crab and shrimp handroll : This combo meal proved to be too generous in terms of portion size, almost too much for a single person and I barely finish this entire combo. The egg and avocado musubi stood out with its creamy avocado and crunch from the almond/bonito flakes ? . However, the blue crab and shrimp handroll didn't offer as much flavor. As for the Hawaiian poke plate itself, the seaweed was enjoyable and the fish pieces were fresh. Yet, the salad was slightly too salty and sour for my personal taste. After trying two Poke sashimi dishes, I find myself unsure if the flavors justify the consistent expense of over $20 including tax . Personally, I lean towards the mild spicy Hawaiian Poke paired with a side order of scrambled egg avocado musubi.
