3 words RUSTY DIVE BAR.... located in the heart of Hollywood on the corner of Hollywood and Las Palmas. bouncers and security at the entrance and its only 8pm. (They looked mean . Glassware put away. All drinks served in plastic disposal cups (I had to wonder about this place . HOWEVER, the bartender did ask if plastic was ok for me... (what could I say? I already sat down! Nothing more to say... I stopped in merely out of convenience and passing time waiting for my dinner reservation next door....
I recently came here for drinks this past Saturday and had a lot of fun at the Rusty Mullet. The sort of white trash theme of the bar was funny. The bar itself is loud and busy, but it makes it more fun. The bartenders are great. Walter is the best.. I asked him for something fruity and he introduced me to a drink called a Jolly Rancher which was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced and the ambiance is great. There are TV screens all around so you can watch sports or music videos. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because there are only two bathrooms (one person at a time) which means there is usually a long line. Also, the bathrooms could stand to be cleaner and be restocked more often. No one wants to go into a public bar bathroom without seat covers! I look forward to returning soon.
Just had shots and a beer here interesting place in Hollywood. It's called Rusty Mullet which would make you think it's a cowboy/hick bar but they are playing hip hop/rap videos on the screen. I made the mistake of ordering a blue kamikaze which was honestly kind of disgusting. Still, the bar is cool, not sure I'd hang out here too much but its okay by me.
Not the best bar on Hollywood Blvd., but certainly not the worst, either. It serves its purpose for providing an open, airy atmosphere and good service. We ventured out here on St. Patrick's day of all days and crowd control was in full effect, and much appreciated. The gentleman at the door didn't allow the place to get too crowded or crazy, which meant we could eat and drink without worrying about bumping into people. The trailer vibe is cool and different, but the prices are a bit high given the dozens of other bars around. We ordered some onion rings and wings, both were mediocre, at best. However, service was on point and the beers were nice and cold. The crowd was cool and not pretentious, which is the main reason I'd come back in the future.
