The service was impeccable; our waiter was very attentive and ensured that my friends and I were well taken care of. The watermelon margarita is a must-try, and pairing it with some fried green tomatoes and a side of biscuits is sure to delight your taste buds. I also really enjoyed the fried chicken; although it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it. I will absolutely return the next time I'm in LA!
I went for lunch with a couple of friends and we sat at the high tables by the bar. The bartender also served as our waitress, and I have to say, she had the most beautiful smile! I asked her about the ingredients for an Old Fashioned—big ice cube, bitters, orange slice, etc.—and she smiled and said, "I got you." The drink was fantastic! When it was time to order a second round, she informed me that they had run out of one whiskey and recommended another, which turned out to be even better. The fried chicken was delicious, and my friend had the salmon, which he absolutely loved. I typically find chain restaurants to be mediocre at best, but this one was different. Overall, it was a great experience!
The food is decent, and I really appreciate the abundance of natural light, but the prices are a bit high for a menu that feels quite similar to many other restaurants. The decor is lovely, especially the area behind the bar. I visited for brunch with some colleagues, and they even had a charming waiting area. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
We love this place! From the awesome Southern style food to the great service, it simply cannot be beat! Right in the Beverly Center. Shout out to Tommy M. for his great service today! UPDATE: Took my friend there for lunch on Black Friday. We were seated by the person handling frontdesk. Then about 10 minutes later we were informed by that same individual that we had to vacate, as their kitchen was closed between brunch dinner. It was 2:45 pm when we arrived. We began to leave, as instructed, when a very wonderful employee named Rogelio Chavez told us to stay, that the kitchen was, indeed, still open. Rogelio treated us to homemade biscuits even offered us dessert for the mishap. His Mgr., Peter Maldonado also apologized. Bravo to employees like MR. ROGELIO CHAVEZ, for making such a big difference in our day.
Great eggs Benedict and Creme Brulee Waffles. The orange juice, however, was a big disappointment. They have freshly squeezed Orange Juice but the oranges were really bad. Superb service, very friendly staff. The Chicken and Waffles are really popular and I'll try them next time.
