TL;DR: For the prices, this is the best restaurant in the Bay Area.From the tastefully painted acoustic tiles, past the cloth napkins and coordinated tablecloths, down to the textured flooring, every aspect of the dining experience has been carefully considered.The food is fresh, delicious, and carefully presented. Our waiter was like a genie, appearing when we needed him, anticipating our needs and quietly disappearing.I had the Mahi Mahi tacos, apparently the house specialty. The others with me had fish fillets and shrimp dishes, Everything looked equally superb. I honestly don 't understand why a little restaurant in an unremarkable mini mall would choose to exceed expectations in every conceivable way.If these folks were in Austin TX, Fonda San Miguel would be in serious trouble.The flan in my photo was $7.I actually felt like I was taking advantage of them.Parking: Plenty of Parking, Handicap spots right in front.Kid-friendliness: Several families with small children and they had good seating options. The staff are super relaxed and patient with the kids.

Local neighborhood restaurant. Mexican and seafood dishes. My wife and I had their fresh halibut. The fish was slightly overcooked, but acceptable. My side included some limp asparagus. My salad was fresh mixed greens w cherry tomatoes.The service was quick but lacked any friendliness. Ambiance was lacking. All in all, food was ok but the dining experience was lacking friendliness or any reason to come back.

Surprised at the positive reviews. Service was excruciatingly slow, even with barely any customers. We waited ages for anyone to come by the table after being seated. And ages again for drinks to arrive. And ages again for food to arrive. And the food was cold. No one came to refill waters, either.The food is extremely basic and not very tasty. For example, the salad had only a few ingredients and looked like each had just come out of its bag (like clumped up dried cranberries), plus a little bit of dressing in a side container. So disappointing. I'd never come back.

Probably the best chili relleno Ive had in forever. The rice, for me was absolutely perfect. The flan, Carlotta cake and bread pudding were absolutely delicious and well packaged and presented. Ill be definitely ordering again.

Ceviche is very good Linguini Portofino was good but lacking full pieces of crab, just shreds. Chicken Parmigiana wasn apos;t great, didn apos;t travel well and seemsd poor quality cheese. Fish Chips (Cod) was very disappointing with a massive amount of breading so you couldn apos;t even taste the fish.
