The salsa had a bit of a kick to it—almost too much for my wife, who prefers milder flavors. For me, it was just right; it had some heat but still allowed the other flavors to shine through. To start, we ordered the cheese dip, which was deliciously creamy and packed with flavor. My wife chose a Margarita, while I opted for sweet tea, and she really enjoyed her drink. For the main course, I went with the four-burrito combo, which included one each of beef, chicken, bean, and cheese burritos, all topped with sauce and cheese. The price was quite reasonable, though there were no rice or beans served with it—just the burritos. The beef burrito was fantastic, while the chicken was slightly dry. The cheese burrito was a bit messy, leaking its contents onto the plate. Despite the minor issues with the chicken and cheese burrito, the flavors were excellent. My wife ordered a fried seafood chimichanga, which came with beans. Thankfully, she doesn't like beans, which worked out well for me, as the beans were outstanding. The staff were friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. We left feeling as full as the tortilla shells on our plates. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely return.
Fantastic spot to dine with friends or family! The staff is attentive, and the food is delicious. I’d give it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it!
This is a wonderful restaurant to visit. I've been there multiple times and have enjoyed both the food and the friendly staff. If you do go, please say hello to Tony for me!
We love this place! Delicious food, great prices, and friendly staff. We go almost every Friday night. Haven’t had anything I didn’t love. We moved from San Diego so we’re pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food, and this is our favorite place! Highly recommend!
I don't usually go to a Mexican restaurant, but when I do, it's El Perico. Why? Because it's very good. The service is fast and ontop of things. They've never messed up an order. Not to mention it's one of 4 restaurants that are worth going to in Louisburg. The other 3 I'm not going to mention, but you know who you are. My top choice is the Chori Pollo Fatitas. The chicken is nicely seasoned, onions are cooked, and the pineapples are a great choice. The meal comes ripping hot on a skillet. It's a large meal so don't fight the urge to eat it all... You can take it home for 2nd ground. The salsa delivered before the meal with the chips are both good. The only thing that I've had that I haven't been impressed with is their guacamole. It's rather boring in flavor and needs some life breathed into it.
