We arrived about 5:30 and it wasn't busy. I absolutely loved the ambiance and could definitely see coming back for a date night. We ordered a few drinks and the bread/olive oil appetizer. One in our party ordered the birthday cake martini and one of the liquors in it was very overwhelming. Our server was kind enough to let her swap it out for a glass of wine. I had the ragu al pomodoro for the entree and it was delicious. Our meals all came out hot, which was appreciated. The pasta entrees came with a salad or cup of soup. The house salad was ok and the Gorgonzola bleu cheese dressing was interesting but not my favorite. I decided to get dessert as well so I ordered the cannoli. I wasn't expecting it to be chocolate but oh my......it was SOOOOOOO good!!! Perfect way to end the meal. Our server was awesome and didn't rush us at all. I look forward to coming back and checking out the patio.
Nice cozy little Italian restaurant in old Louisville. It has a very intimate setting inside and the workers are always very prompt and courteous. The prices are high for that they are. The food portions and taste don't add up to the cost of each entree. The food here isn't bad by any means but it not great either. Kind of your act run of the mill Italian place. I usually get the hearty lasagna when I'm in the area and take a lunch here. The menu warns you to allow plenty of time to cook, which is accurate. Usually takes them 30-40 min for that dish. The lasagna itself is very meat heavy. So if you like meaty lasagna then this is right up your alley.
Horrible customer service. After we made a reservation on the outside patio, and called to confirm, we arrived at the restaurant only to see the patio is closed. The owner, who apparently doesn't know anything about customer service, nor has any interest in acquiring new customers, was very unprofessional. Not only he refused to honor the reservation outside, he was very rude and didn't provide any explanation. The food is mediocre at best, and the owner forgot that we are in a global pandemic, and that people try to support local restaurants, by eating outside on a patio. But that restaurant is to be avoided. Unless they change the way to treat their customers. Maybe he needs a class on how to be civilized.
Update. The menu changed and it reads like a sub-par chain place that caters to prom night revelers. My poor Pizza decided to be part of the raw food movement without telling me with wretched puns on the new menu. This resulted in both of us suffering either the perils of raw dough or disappointment. (I 'm quite toasty, the wine pours are generous. My love 's salmon Caesar made up for the lack of cooking by providing a nice nice hunk of salmon that was pale and dry. Good that the cooking heat went somewhere. I 'm adding three stars because the mussels, though changed, are still damn good. Additionally, the wine pours are awesome. Without alcohol, the huge check would be completely unbearable. The service was kind, but slow. We ordered the amazing muscles as an appetizer. It always needs additional bread. We ordered it immediately and it came out much later. It 's bread. You have it back there. Heat it up, bring it out, serve it. Step it up guys! You are better than this. Have some quality control and let me come back and change my review back to the five stars that you so thoroughly earned.
Love this nice little quaint restaurant and great service and food is excellent clean nice little place to relax for the old Louisville neighborhood
