El Nopal - Louisville

I have NEVER had a bad meal at a Mexican restaurant until I ate here. The rice is so dry it will choke you. The beans were gross, too. My chicken burrito was watery and mostly peppers. I had a ground beef taco. The ground beef had zero flavor. It looked and tasted like it had been washed in water after being cooked. Me and my fiance both were very disappointed. With tip, it was 35 dollars. This is unacceptable. I only half way ate the taco and that's because I put so much sour cream on it, it made it tolerable. The waiter asked if I wanted a box. I told him no and that the food wasn't good. He just took the plates away, didn't ask why we didn't eat, didn't try to remake the food, nothing. I WON'T be back

Wow where to startA very large cold brew on-tap, followed by chips, n cheese dip, then the most gratifying tacos this side of the river.Yes I was satisfied, and not too expensive for Taco Tuesday!

I had come here a few days ago with my parents. I wasn't really hungry so I got me a side of fries. That's it. I've been to El Nopal on Outer Loop and they have good fries and they're thick. These was thin, and bland. Every bite of a fry got worse and worse in taste. I recommend NOT coming here.

Walking distance from our hotel, was very convenient! We were quick to get a table. They immediately had chips and salsa on the table and took our drink order. The salsa was fresh and delicious. One was spicy and the other not. Loved this!! I ordered a combo meal and my husband had carnitas. Both were great! Generous portions! We sat in the bar area. The noise level was nice! We were able to hear each other!! I can't say enough good things about the service and cleanliness of this restaurant. They treat you like you are their only customer! Thanks El Nopal! We will be back!!
