Funmi's Cafe - Louisville

This was my first visit to Louisville! As of July 2021, the restaurant is still offering curbside pickup through their phone and all popular apps. The vegan options are clearly marked and there are plenty to choose from. I tried the chef's specialty with tofu, which was delicious and packed with unique flavors and ingredients.

I finally had the chance to try out Funmi's and I was impressed with their vegan menu. Although they listed 'ice cream,' I wasn't sure if they had vegan options. I recommended they look into So Delicious. The other dishes were amazing, featuring mostly rice and bean dishes, tofu, and savory Nigerian flavors in a tomato base. The yeast donuts were also vegan and delicious. The portions were a bit smaller than expected for the price, especially if not using a discount deal. However, it's great to have another vegan option on Bardstown Rd. Funmi's has done a great job updating their menu based on customer requests and location.

I stumbled upon Funmi's on HappyCow yesterday and was surprised to learn that they offer vegan options in Louisville. Their vegan-friendly menu is extensive, well-marked, and diverse. I ordered takeout, including an appetizer sampler and an entrée, and everything was delicious. I appreciate that the vegan options are complete, whole-food-based meals. I will definitely be returning!

Really delicious eating, served in a room that feels like a waiting room for her dentist. we don't think there's something like that in louisville. the personal was extremely knowledgeable and understanding about the vegan options – there is a separate menu that makes it easy. we ordered the courts medium-size and found them just that could be a little hotter but quite right on the money. loved all aromen and interesting ingredients. we were just once, but plan to go back soon.
