Worst ribs ever. Tasted like putrid meat, rotten. Watery with absolutely no flavor. It gave me an upset stomach and diarrhea. Waste of time and money.
I believe this business is closed down now. We went by a few times to try to get some food here and the place seemed to be cleared out completely and closed down.
Went there a while back and they were squeezing bbq beef out of a plastic bag for sandwich I ordered. Haven't been back since.
Mark's Slab House is a drive thru or walk up bbq establishment located off Preston Highway in the Edgewood neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. After driving past this location several times in the past me and my family decided to swing through the drive thru and grab an early dinner. They have a menu in the drive thru and one in the back of the establishment. They may want to update it though as the signs argue pricing. On one the chili dog is a dollar cheaper than the other sign. So while they have a drive thru they don't have a speaker box. You drive to menu remember what You want and pull to the window and make the order. We pulled out the window today and a gentleman was in the back just looking at his phone. We sat there for 3-4 minutes as my wife is nicer then me and didn't want to honk the horn or knock on window. I encouraged the kids to be loud but naturally it was the one time at a drive thru they were content and quiet : Anyways, after a few moments the gentleman took our order and started preparing it. Then some help came and a lady who didn't really say much came and took out payment. The food took about 5 min to prepare so wasn't bad at all. I personally ordered a chopped pork sandwich (pulled pork and it was rather large and very tasty. Piping hot and I was satisfied. My wife got the same thing but did it as a meal with two sides. She got the baked beans and potato salad. She was not a fan of the bbq sauce. Said it was too sweet for her liking. Her sides she liked a lot. I tried the baked beans and to me they were just solid. Was A lot of liquid and not much beans for my liking. My oldest got a pork rib sandwich. They put two pieces of tiny white bread in a secondary bag. So it took a minute to find it. She liked it a lot but was frustrated with them using tiny bread especially when our sandwiches had big tasty buns. Overall very solid location. I enjoyed most of the things I tried. I think maybe our early 430pm dinner maybe surprised the gentleman and maybe he wasn't expecting customers. They may want to invest in a bell or buzzard so they don't have future situations with hungry customers watching workers play on there phones.
