Pretty disappointed to say the least, we sat near the bar area and went in for dinner and drinks for the evening. it was almost 20 minutes before anyone came to the table to get our drink order. Perhaps should 've been my first red flag! We finally received our drinks which took a while as well. when the drinks did arrive we went ahead and ordered an appetizer while we were still looking at the dinner menu. The appetizer came out not only very good, but did not take long at all. From there, another 30 minutes went by and always trying to not be rude or disrespectful by waving down the server even after those 30 minutes, he literally walked past the table without even making eye contact. Somewhat frustrated I was able to get his attention and asked when you get a moment can you come back and get us another drink and take our dinner order? .... another 20 minutes went by as the server walked past the table a couple of more times. At that time I walked up to the bar, paid for our drinks and appetizer and left. in an hour and 20 minutes time one drink each and an appetizer. Not only did we pay our bill and leave, several tables around us did the same. I 'm not saying we won 't go back as perhaps a slightly busy night and probably understaffed, I understand bad nights or busy nights. Regardless, completely ignoring a few tables led to several of us leaving and heading elsewhere.
I hate to be basic like this, but some friends and I went out to have what ended up being a girl dinner recently. Ya know what, scratch that, I will proudly admit that girl dinner a dinner mostly composed of several appetizers may be my new favorite thing. And Martini Italian Bistro was a great place for this. We ordered several: baked goat cheese, spinach al forno and bruschetta plus the caprese salad (definitely shareable) and a margherita pizza. These came out quick, and our waiter was a help recommending what we should order. My favorite was the spinach al forno and caprese. I could eat those any day. We also got cocktails (of course). I got a cocktail with berries and bourbon in it. Would definitely recommend. It also helped that we were easily able to get a table. Martini Italian Bistro is a solid dining option in the Paddock Shops.
Went for dinner on a Friday night. They take reservations. Seated us promptly when we arrived (friendly hostesses). It took quite a bit of time for us to be greeted by our wait staff. We ordered a martini (happy hour 4-6) and it took 20 minutes. The staff did inform us they were behind because of happy hour. Liked the martini martini= traditional dirty martini. Bread, soup, and our entree's came out fast. Really enjoyed the Chicken Milanese!
Went again here last night with some friends and just another great meal here!! I truly think their house salad is the best salad I have ever had not only in Louisville but in my entire life anywhere. I have recently been adding purple onion per my friend's recommendation and it makes it even more incredible. I got the large portion and added blackened salmon to have as a meal.
