Deplorable experience, hot oysters, sand in the knives and in the gambas and the boss (who apparily is the chef of the kitchen shouts on us telling us that it's normal?! It is shameful (added to over €70.00! We have problems for the "poor staff" who must suffer a person of this species. this gentleman believes everything is allowed. a small kitchen visit with hygiene agents would make him run away from more than one! restaurant really to avoid!
Nicely shaded big place directly overlooking the basin the Thau. Plenty of choice on the menu also for those who don 't like uncooked seafood. Friendly staff but they don 't speak a word of English (which is only a problem when you have special request (diët . Pricewise not the cheapest in the village but the seating is much nicer than the often overcrowded strip where it is difficult to get a table and where at lunchtime ther is little shade on the very small terrasses.
Like a previous reviewer we always regarded our visits this restaurant over the years as special. Today however, for the first time, we found the food varying between poor and mediocre, apart from the uncooked seafood which was up to standard. The maconnerade in particular was appalling and barely edible. There was no alternative to the cream smothered puddings or ice cream. We have never been served such poor coffee. The service was quite dreadful. We waited for nearly an hour for our first course. The waiter was completely disinterested and the whole meal took nearly three hours. It was a very expensive, poor value disappointing experience, which we shall not be repeating. It was very sad to see such a decline.
A beautiful day, really sunny and warm not your typical october Sunday perhaps. Beautiful view and great service. Good idea to book if you are going on a popular day (Sunday every table filled! . Definitely ask for a terrace table (in fact go in a four so you can get the tables at the front! Fish was excellent.
