L'ami Toulousain - Lourdes

The owner, Frederic, is a wonderful person; very kind and welcoming. Apparently there is only one meal served here: garbure (peasant stew), with a roquefort salad and dessert. The food was delicious. This is a very small place off the main streets in an alley. Definitely not your typical tourist place, but that is exactly why we loved it. Thank you for a wonderful evening, Frederic!

Small restaurant in a quiet side street, frequented by locals, and serving typical local food, particularly garbure. Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Definitely not a “touristy” place.

This restaurant is quite unique, it has a set menu of Roquefort Salad, Garbure, a peasant dish of confit duck, ham and vegetables , and gourmet café served with brownie and muffin. We had eaten here before and on returning to Lourdes quickly made a reservation. The meal was again wonderful, all of the party thoroughly enjoyed not only the food but the ambience and the company of Frederic, the owner, and his assistant chef. If you are in the area please do pay a visit, you won't be disappointed.
