It is evident that this place is not properly maintained or cared for, as additionally indicated by the tacky word art hung crookedly on the wall. Every booth is under a vent blasting heat on a 75 degree day.About 10 minutes after we place our order with the inattentive nepo-waitress who primarily watched tv instead of refilling our coffees like we asked, a family of 7 comes in and ends up getting served before us.At this point we are parched from being blasted by heat and denied refills by the waitress as well as famished from the inscrutably long wait, but our food finally arrives. We are presented with a couple waffles that had the texture of cardboard and tasted of NOTHING. At least it came with a side of a diabetes! A single serving of FAKE Smuckers syrup consisting of: high fructose corn syrup, caramel color and more! This is inexcusable since real maple syrup is marginally more expensive than fake and the breakfast was unjustifiably expensive. We ended up leaving without ever getting the refills we requested. This place does mediocracy VERY WELL. It truly was a great way to ruin our palette for the rest of our day.
First time, worst experience. Pre-ordered while doing errands and was nervous because I got there 40 minutes after ordering. Walk in there's 2 empty tables I walk by, they tell me my order is not ready after she seemed confused, I get told that it will be up soon (but clearly they forgot) including the 40 minute prior call and me having to sit and wait for 2 breakfast plates for an additional 25 minutes we were over an hour! The empty tables were filled and by the TIME I recieved my food and turned around the tables were full with couples EATING?? PLEASEexplain how this happened. Ironically as I was leaving one of the couples were upset because he husband was eating and she had to get up and ask where he food was. This place is way to unorganized and not official at all! The young lady was wearing an outside COAT serving food and taking orders, you can tell they don't operate accordingly or by state laws when it comes to food. Not sure if this place was sold to this family, I don't believe they are the original owners. Really and not to mention you have to go through the kitchen to use the bathroom, THE GUESTS! Never ever ever again. The prices reflect what they offer hence the cheap prices
I don’t usually leave reviews but this place really pushed it. I went with my family to eat breakfast for easter and the food was awful. It started off when we saw another waitress pour someones old coffee mug that they didn’t finish back into the kettle after we saw that we stopped drinking the coffee and immediately put our cups to the side, we were going to leave but our food was already on the way out. We had a small child with us, 2 years of age and they brought her food out LAST (she had a kids meal) to follow that the omelette we ordered was burnt and overall questionable by the look and taste of it so we returned it and kindly explained and overall just decided not to get another meal considering the issues we already experienced. when the bill comes the charge for the omelette was there so we asked politely to have it taken off, to our surprise there was a lot of push back and questions from the manager instead of a simple apology, she was very rude to ALL of us at the table and seemed to think we just didn’t want to pay and to top everything off the photo below is a pancake I took home to go, I started to eat it and found not one but several egg shells in this pancake making it unsafe to eat. Disappointed and disgusted to say the least, I will not be going back.
Very friendly and attentive staff; warm, quiet environment; and food with the kind of nostalgic flavor that makes you feel like you never even stepped out of your home. :
I thought I posted a review about this delicious diner the other day located in Lowell, barely 2 minutes from 495 worth the drive. We happen to be in the area in Chelmsford and I asked my Google what was the top five diners in the area and corner cafe came up as one of them. I read some of the reviews and people were saying how delicious of breakfast was. So I told my husband let's go here. He created his own element of bacon and cheese and I had the country omelette which was sausage and cheese with a sausage gravy on top. It was delicious and you don't have to ask for extra gravy but this morning I think it was just a little heavy-handed on the sage but I still enjoyed it and my husband used a lot of the gravy actually to dip his home fries in. You have to come here hungry because the serving size is a huge. The eggs were good. The home fries would delicious and the waitress was phenomenal. A younger woman who made our time very pleasant. Thank you corner cafe. I'm glad people put good posts out for you so we could come and meet you this day and we will return. Thank you!.
