Called the little cannoli bakery but only have ONE type of cannoli. One small cannoli is 4.50$ and it was made with a shell that tasted like melted hard Carmel, and the filling was bland. Also all the other treats were really small. We did like the coconutcream tarts and the Napoleon was very good.
I visited this bakery to give it a try, and I devoured my éclair so quickly that it could have scared a small child! I'm really looking forward to trying the rest of their desserts, especially the Marion berry Napoleon and the macarons.
I ended up scooping out the filling that wasn't in contact with the shell, and it was very underwhelming—barely any flavor at all. I’m not sure if this bakery is new, and I really don’t want to criticize a local business, but if you’re going to feature cannoli in your name, you need to improve on that front. It was nearly inedible. If it had been my first cannoli, I wouldn’t have wanted to try another. I understand that finding authentic Italian pastries in the West can be tough. There’s a local place in Phoenix, AZ, that makes the perfect cannoli—perhaps it would be worth the owner’s while to sample one. I plan to return in a couple of months to see if they’ve improved their cannoli, but for now, it’s non buono.
The coconut cream tart is incredible! It's the best thing I've had in a long time. The marionberry napoleon is delicious as well.
