Anyone who could give this place less than 5 stars is out to lunch. (pun intended) the food is incredibly delicious, with very little wait times, and…
Sydelles Fish and Chips is a culinary treasure that transports you straight to the heart of Newfoundland. With each visit, I'm reminded of the authentic flavors and warm hospitality of the East Coast. The fish and chips here are nothing short of spectacular, with crispy golden batter that's a perfect complement to the tender, flaky fish inside. What truly sets Sydelles apart is the nostalgic feeling it evokes. It's like a cherished taste of back home in Newfoundland, whether you have Newfoundland roots or not. The ambiance captures the essence of a cozy coastal eatery, making you feel like you're right on the waterfront. The dedication to preserving the tradition of great fish and chips is evident in every bite. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making every visit a delightful experience. If you're searching for a genuine taste of Newfoundland and a warm, nostalgic embrace, Sydelles Fish and Chips is the place to be. It's a culinary journey that keeps you coming back for more, time and time again.
The food was mediocre, at best. The tables are sticky. Disliked the fact that eating in didn't even warrant a plate. Take out dishes for a hot hamburg sandwich and fries (served separately in their own dish). $4 for a bottle of pop was a bit much. Won't be back.
Very friendly staff, food was fresh (sea food was our selection) and the portions were just right in an age where no person should be eating much what passes for a portion today. To top it all, the food delivery was very fast even with several customers in the restaurant and only 2 staff members (I assume were the owners). I will/would visit again.
