This pub is fantastic on all fronts. Lovely, well kept, and very clean. It has a lovely atmosphere catering for all ages and is dog friendly. The menu , offered weekly, focuses on locally produced food, including venison from Grizedale and beef from adjoining farms. There is a good choice for persons with allergies or vegan by choice. We had the first Sunday roast which came as a 2 course meal the staff are trying out for the near future. The food was delicious and reasonably priced at £26 per head. As always the staff are so efficient and pleasant. We hope that future Sunday openings do occur and we will certainly return. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
