Caprock Cafe - Lubbock

All in all! We love this location very spacious. The staff is wonderful and FOOD IS EXCELLENT ALWAYS! GREAT JOB! Next time I'll get a picture of our food we just start eating as soon as we get it!

On Sunday fought for lunch and was surprised that there was no waiting. We both had hamburgers who were pretty good. The choice for meat was 1/4 or 1/2lb. I'd like 1/3lb. Had the Jalapeño Sauerteig rolls and that was delicious! A nice little place to stop for the usual American food.

I loved this place. The atmosphere was pleasantly friendly. The service was amazing, and our waitress was really good. I'll visit this place again. It was my first time to be there and I loved it.

Excellent service and food. Enjoy a Pina Colada with Chicken Fried Chicken Jalapeno Bacon beans.

I've given this place 2 chances now and I'm left wondering why everyone thinks it's so amazing. I know it's a Lubbock institution, but both times we've been the food is over salted and over seasoned. And I love salt! On this visit we ordered the queso and it was good but not great. My boyfriend got the ro ends sandwich and tater twisters. He didn't even eat the fries because they were so salty. He said the beauty of the meat was completely drowned by the salt and seasoning. I had the taco salad. While the taco meat to lettuce ratio was good, I was disappointed it came encircled with tortilla chips, not in a traditional fried flour tortilla. (it may have called that out on the menu, but I had forgotten my glasses). I want to live this place because so many people do, but I just can't.
