The Shack - Lubbock

My wife and I found us for medical problems with our son in Lubbock. We were thrilled to check the local food scene, but were very diaptized until we found this jewel. If you are looking for some excellent comfort food (healthy options too) you will not be disappointed. Portions are big and the staff is really some of the kindest people we met. I felt like I was fed by my own grandmother. If you are looking for an excellent food in a great atmosphere, do not give it up. It is family-friendly and easy from the highway and the prices are excellent! We recommend the Red Raider Burger and the Andre Emmett chicken salad.

Order the Sliced Magerbrise with white chicken with extra hot bbq sauce, which was great. The sides were not so much, beans were beans and the Mac and cheese was chalky, but I went for the meat. Worse than the parking lot.

This was the first time I visited this restaurant. I had the hot bar which consisted of meat loaf (which is not my favorite, but from this place it is) steamed cabbage, scalloped potatoes and a cheesy roll. Also included was a cherry type dump cake. My friends has steak fingers which were also super good. Definitely worth a visit! The staff was very welcoming and super friendly. Just a great place.

I know the co owner Joe H. he use to give me Haircut I heard was was co owner so I love Catfish so I heard they had All u can eat Catfish on Fridays 5pm til 8pm thought I would take the wife for supper there tonight Got in line and my meal they was almost out of Catfishso I told Joe would he bring more out so he brought me some. I had Catfish, Hush Puppies Salad Bar French Fries Ice Tea. It sure was good. If u love Catfish go to this place.

Tried their Friday night all you can eat catfish chicken tenders. It was outstanding! Had all the trimmings you would expect and delicious cobbler to top it off! Open 5-8 pm on Fridays.
