Agreed with the people who say there's not much consistency, but it's a good bbq food trailer that also serves burgers. Priced competitively also
I have a love/hate relationship with the Whistlin Dixie Trailer. My family and I ate at Whistlin Dixie back in the day regularly. We were totally excited to see it come back with the trailer. Hoping to get the same great BBQ and awesome sides, we have have many lunches here. But consistency seems to be their downfall. Some days you will get original recipe coleslaw. Other days, its not available. And yet others, you get slaw that is so not original recipe its embarrassed to even be served. Then forget about getting honey butter for the wheat bread. We don 't have any honey butter But really, that 's ok. Because the beautifully baked wheat bread loaves are left to get hard or moldy...so no calories will be wasted on those carbs. Hearty sized servings well, that, too, is a thing of the past. Last visit consisted of more fat than meat and dried turkey. I think after ten or so visits to the trailer old and new location we will take a break and hope for consistency...but for now...there are so many other options for lunch.
Man I must be fat, not remembering where I ate anymore.
I've never seen a Whistlin' Dixie BBQ trailer. Maybe it's an old place. I don't know. It's a Ranch House restaurant now. Huge portions with great prices and friendly staff. I ate alone, but I didn't feel alone because of the staff. I'd be visiting alone in this way. The coffee is exceptional and the pancakes are big and fluffy!
