Tre Merli - LUCCA

Found whilst wandering off the main square that is packed with restaurants. Had the most delightful meal. Steak Florentine served unctuously rare, ribs without a slather of sauce and lasagne, with sides of potatoes and the tastiest ever borlotti beans and salads. We had desserts too and the panna cotta. Just the right wobble with a shiny blackcurrant coulis. A great place to spend a couple of hours over lunch! Skip the tourist square!

During our three week stay in Lucca, we ate here several times and ordered pizza to go twice. We were happy with each meal and really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Great alley for people watching!

Excellent good and service! Very nice sitting outside this evening.
