Chen's - Lufkin

I have ate at Chen's for 20 years. However, their food has gone down hill the past several years. The food on the buffet is cold and some of it doesn't taste fresh. The restaurant is outdated and has been the same for years. The waitresses are always attentive and friendly. I used to love coming here, but now it's just different. I will say the green beans are always awesome! I just wish that all of the food was. It's either covered in syrupy sauces that are overly sweet or too greasy. The restaurant is clean, but the bathroom area is weird and dirty.

I really like the owner, but I believe that the service and lighting could be better. My coworkers love the place. I also hate that you could taste the added sugar in the cabbage and with other vegetables. Unfortunately, too many places add sugar to foods where it does not belong. Vegetarian options: You will need to order off the menu for vegetarian options.

My first time here. I got the lunch special orange peel chicken. My only complaint would be that they say that it is spicy and it is not. Other than that the food is fantastic and delicious. The service is fast and friendly. 10 out of 10 highly recommended

Egg rolls were okay, but that's it. Fried rice and soups were the wrong colors and first bite only bad. Pepper steak wasn't even edible. I really don't know how the could get soo much food to taste so bad. Don't go.
