Auberge du Grebe - Lureuil

I' have eaten here regularly over many years. The restaurant is in a delightful location opposite the church in the small village of Lureuil. You can eat either inside or outside in the garden The food is excellent with a selection of good wines available. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. There are two or three fixed price menus or you can eat a la carte The reception is very warm and friendly. If you want excellent french cuisine served in a village setting, this is the place to go,

En route to Tours Aéroport today, we had the opportunity to lunch at this charming rural restaurant. Monday to Friday a 3 course lunch is €13 with wine. Today's starter was a self service cold buffet with salads, sliced meats, fish and vegetables, this was followed by the main dish a choice of fish or meat. With four excellent desserts to choose; île flottant, homemade mousse au chocolat, crème brûlée or ice-cream, our meal was complete. Excellent value for money, charming staff, perfect setting, highly recommend.

We have eaten here many times, lunch and evening meals. The outside terrace is very special in a lovely setting. The owners work very hard are very welcoming and service is excellent. Best menu de jour in the area 3 courses which includes a lovely buffet starter, 2 choices of main course and 4 choices of dessert, wine and water for 12 euros. Highly recommended.

After recently visiting a restaurant in Yzeures en Creuse and giving a poor rating, I thought I would tell you all about this little gem of a restaurant. There are set menus and an A La Carte menu which represent very good value for the quality of food. First impressions of this restaurant are very good, it is in a small village (Lureil) near to the church with easy parking. The garden is a delight and all diners sat outside under the large gazebo. All of the food was very good, drinks and coffee were reasonably priced. I enjoyed it so much, I went the next evening as well, before my return to England.

Having chosen from the 24€ menu, we were treated to an excellent lunch. There were interesting dishes including local specialities, beautifully cooked and presented, plus a very pleasant dining room with linen tablecloths and napkins.Streets ahead of other restaurants for the same price. Highly recommended.
