La Terrasse de Lurs

Le Croq Magnon is one of a number of eateries clustered together in a plaza a short walk from the waterfront.

We had a great organic and vegetarian meal. Fabulous verbena ice cream. From the terrace there is and amazing view of the La Durance valley and the chef is very nice. Do not hesitate to come here if you visite the region.

The view is brilliant , the ambiance is very friendly and buzzing , the atmosphere relaxed and friendly , the service is fine , the food however is very average .

Though the weather was grey today, the sunshine was inside. We had a nice meal with excellent food. All local produce though the veal came from the next departement in Hautes Alpes.The bread and goat cheese were remarkable, as were the meat and the stawberries.We could see the snow on the mountains to the east, beyond Digne les Bains as we sat enjoying our food and the staff was both discreet and friendly. The Chef came out to comment on where his goose eggs came from (just down the hill).

Fabulous views from the terrace, and well selected local and organic products on the very reasonably priced menu cart. There is a choice of two starters, seven mains, and up to 6 desserts. Portions very adequate. Limited but judicious wine selection, reasonably priced. Service friendly. This also a good spot for ice cream in the afternoon. The ice-cream is sourced from Cereste and is particularly good.
