Some really nice guy picked up, and I asked whether he had a second to give me a few recommendations on multi-day hikes in the park? He goes, Umm... yeah... I guess I can do that. Let me check and make sure there aren 't any customers in front. I was a little confused why a backcountry ranger seemed so surprised to get questions on the backcountry, but hey it 's March maybe it 's just a slow season. So I started asking really specific questions about trailheads and hiking terrain. He gave me some honest, but kind of vague recommendations, and I was a little disappointed that he didn 't seem familiar with the Heart Lake or Snake River Trailheads. I 'm really sorry, but I honestly don 't think I 've been down that way in probably 15 years. In my head, I 'm wondering how this guy got hired as a ranger and what he 's been up to for the last 15 years. He also kept putting me on hold to handle customers, which was kind of weird given that I don 't think they sell anything at the ranger station. Eventually, it became pretty clear I wasn 't talking to someone who works in Yellowstone for a living, especially when he recommended I call the visitor 's center because They just spend a ton of time there and would know all the trails really well . So I apologized, but asked who I was speaking to? It was not the Yellowstone Backcountry Ranger Office but instead the Triangle 4 Cafe Steakhouse. What restaurant employee causally picks up the phone and patiently tries to answer intensely bizarre questions like these? Apparently this guy. I was completely convinced for an embarrassingly long time that I was talking to a weirdly inexperienced park ranger. I don 't know if that reflects badly on me or positively on him, but I 'd give him a 10/5 for customer service.
Awesome! Server very friendly and attentive food cooked to perfection.
The food was not great but the service was wonderful.
Best food in town. Plenty of food for your money. Great people and the wife love the place.
Wow! 12 oz ribeye for $12.95 cooked to perfection. Frozen veggies side only thing keeping it from 5 stars. That and the iceberg lettuce. If you're looking for fabulous steak this is your place. Authentic rancher cuisine!
