Katchi The Beef Club - Luxembourg

Fantastic beef restaurant downtown Luxembourg. Not easy to find since in the edge of a square with works and a fair. The entry is far from being sexy: you don’t feel as getting into at the first sight. But, when you dare to get in, you discover a real gastronomic meat place. Start with a beef broth, expensive, but one of the tastier I have ever had, served with strips of a very tender loin and carrots. Then, taste the “filet de bœuf”, served as a tagliatta, with a tasty, home made mashed potatoes and a fantastic beef sauce. A tender, savory meet you will hardly forget. Nice waiter, delivering nice advise with the wine. Let’s unveil everything: coffee was definitely not good...

Incredible meat selection (Wagyu, Iberico, Black Angus)! Cool food sharing concept. Basically, all ordered meat comes on one plate, so it's easy to share. Spare Ribs are just soul food.

Excellent steaks, friendly service. Try the entrecote with bearnaise sauce, you won't regret it. If weather permits, outside seating is great... side mashed potatoes are also yummy..

The food is excellent here, absolutely faultless. Beef and ribs were cooked to perfection. If you want a good meal, then come here. The negative bit though, the service is very slow. They wanted to show their special cuts of meat, which should be ready in minutes. That took, what felt like, an hour. We were getting so fed up at one point we just wanted to order from the menu. The staff however are very nice and keen to please. So, if you don't mind waiting to have an excellent meal, then worth a visit. If you get easily impatient, go elsewhere.

Excellent food, friendly staff, and the chef knows what medium means (unlike some places in Luxembourg). They wanted to show us the different cuts of meat on offer, but I don 't think they translated in a minute very well, because it took an age, so I 'm glad we went on a week night, not at the weekend or with other plans following our dinner. Tip: If you order the avocado side dish, note that it is actually HALF and avocado, and while excellent, was tiny compared to the huge bowl of Mac 'n ' Cheese or chips others in my party had ordered, so I felt a little cheated.
