I decided to go to their location in Boonsboro for a family brunch. I must say, not only was I blown away by the food, the service and the prices ...their flexibility with order requests was never an issue. I forgot to mention that I have only ever had breakfast/brunch foods at either. This review was for a recent Sunday brunch. I had classic eggs Benny, cheese grits, roasted potatoes , and fried green tomatoes and an old fashioned (thank you). The atmosphere isnt as good as the Main St. Version but this has become my go-to for brunch . .
The setting was nice and our waitress was so pleasant. The food was really good and after we were through, a gentleman who I will assume was a manager came over to speak to us. We had told him I had a Dr appointment and he said whatever it is, God has it. We don't hear that much these days and I really appreciated it.
Wasn't friendly or welcoming the waitress was snobby and the manager walked around greeting and smiling asking everyone else how was they doing except my table. We had a problem with our order spoke with waitress she said I'll have to get the manager his reply was we ordered that and it was people ahead of us. Rude rude I'll keep going downtown.
Always good for a happy brunch. Check out the menu photos I've added. The Eggs Bennie are divine, poached to perfection.
The place was a lot smaller than I expected and felt really cramped. The food tasted fine and the server was friendly. I ordered chicken and waffles and they gave me two tiny pieces of chicken though. It was noticeable enough that my boyfriend even commented on it. We had gone on Mother?s Day and I do feel bad for the family that made reservations and didn?t get enough chairs put out for their party. We ended up feeling pressured to finish our meal quickly so they could use our table and chairs. Overall not bad but we?ll probably stick with the downtown location.
