Feedback gevenI heard at lot of positive feedback about Market at Main in Lynchburg, so gave the Boonsboro one a try with a friend. She really enjoyed her meal, but I didn't care for mine, especially for the higher price. I ordered the salmon burger with fries the fries were very greasy, unsalted ? , dark brown and overcooked. The salmon patty didn't have any flavor and was a bit overcooked as well. The waitress was very unattentive even though we were her only dine in customers at the time she kept talking with coworkers in the kitchen instead. Unfortunately, even though it's a cute eating area, I won't be going back...
Left without orderingImmediately seated, we waited for over 5 minutes for menus. There were empty tables, so medium crowd.Half the tables waiting on food.Other customers came in about 10 minutes after us. Once the orders for those coming in behind us were being taken, we opted to leave. There was no orders placed by us.There also was a sickening perfume oder, like freebrese stick.Overheard that there was a kitchen issue causing backupThis will not be a future option for us.
A coffee shop out of cream. Small portions. Friendly service.
My wife’s biscuits and gravy were awesome. The sweet potato pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. I usually smother my pancakes in syrup, I didn’t use one drop. They were so moist and delicious it would have been criminal to change the flavor at all. And our server was very efficient and friendly. This is about 2 hours away from where we live but we’ve already decided it is worth the drive.
I've eaten here several times over the years and I keep hoping it'll get better. Alas, today was my last try. They have never been able to cook eggs. Every time I order them they are overdone. Over easy means runny yoke. Never happens. The potatoes were not cooked all the way through today which really added an extra bit of joy. Also, for some reason whoever was cooking used a ton of orange tinted seasoning that made its way into everything, including the gravy for the biscuits and gravy. Criminal.I ordered an extra order of toast and for whatever reason the cook decided to smash the big beautiful rye bread on the griddle, covering it in that orange seasoning, at which point it came out flatter than a pancake and condensed. That was fun because my eggs were so hard they had no yolk to sop up.The service is always decent, but my god if you're going to be a breakfast place, learn how to cook eggs, potatoes, toast.
