The Great Room - Lynchburg

We were there four or five times and were satisfied each time, without complaining. an upscale urban atmosphere. the specials are always a pleasant surprise. we are now addicted to the homemade blue cheese dressing. the personal is attentive, but not disturbing. they are very accommodating with special requests. we recommended the large room to all our friends.

The best breakfast and brunch is even better. eating is always amazing and fresh. I love the muffins and the fox. the brunch food never disappoints. this is my favorite place to get out of the visitors of the city. I will say I wish the new server would learn how to use the tablets. they often seemed confused how to place ordering and several times I made a reservation and have literally watched how the server sits another big party on my table. I think they just need a host. others then everything is great.

What a great place. we stopped for the evening at the hotel kirkley and decided to give the great room an attempt. I was shocked, there were no more people there. excellent beer, wine and cocktail selection. very fresh ingredients, including their own cultivated salad. simple dishes just exploded with taste. I was blown away with this place. the Hydroponic grow bins for crimped is a great note. I will stay in the hotel again, just to enjoy this place. the large room lives up to its name.

An interesting place with a lot of potential! a couple of things: we had a waiting person who was not very welcoming, and hovered while I filled her tip amount (that was quite unpleasant). eating was usually quite good, but even for a salt lover like me the cadry had so much salt in a tomato sauce, it was unpleasant. I scratched the salt as I could, and let the waitress know, but she offered nothing free or reduced the price of the teller on the last bill. also the toilets for the restaurant are not marked what is strange and not good, even outside. it seems like this place could be a real hit, but the staff, including the cook, needs improvement.

I have no idea how this place got 4 stars!! Well I give this place a 2 stars for the fact the inside was nice and staff was very helpful! Also my family enjoyed there steak and fries and they enjoyed their meal. The food was served in a timely matter and appearance looked great! Now the bad! First pricing does match portion sizes! 7.95 for salad with lettuce and dressing is extremely high and amount of lettuce was very small! I had the cod and it was so salty I could not eat it! I basically ate the side item and that was it! I went to Sheetz to eat something for supper! As I write this review I still taste the salt in my mouth! STAY away from the cod unless you love pure salt, because I could not even tell it was a piece of fish! As a fellow Lynchburger I will not return
