Jardin D'amandine - Lyon

A small family owned restaurant that offered amazing food. It was perfect for our lunch meal and we enjoyed the food so much. A great place to relax and enjoy. The owner was super friendly and stayed so busy helping all the people. We would come back for sure!

We started walking the area near to where we were staying, and came across this place. On a corner down a side street, lovely outdoor setting, and the most pleasant owner. Whilst he spoke very little french we managed to order what we wanted and he was very obliging. His choice of wine for us was also very good. It was obviously a two person restaurant as he worked tables, took orders, and served the bar. I believe his wife was the cook. Most other customers that arrived seemed to know the owner,so this was a local haunt. Service was a little slow, but when you are on holiday there is no rush, and the food at this place was worth the wait. We chose the fixed price menu of three courses.All the food was excellent, Steak with pasta and a beautiful sauce, Salmon, salads and the ultimate desert of Chocolate Mousse was excellent. Excellent value for money. Doing be fooled by this simple place on a corner the food is excellent. We went there twice for dinner, hard to beat. The owner went out of his way to please. Recommended

Terrific food and friendly staff. Stayed at Hotel Axtoel which was just opposite the restaurant, had lunch there while.waiting for hotel room to be ready. We had a salad Lyonnasie and salad Amandine which was delicious and filling . Main were veal pasta which was tender with delicious cArrots and a grilled chicken.pasta which was delicious. Dessert was a tart and pie which was also.yummy.

Rich and quality dishes, in a simple and friendly atmosphere. The boss is of great kindness. See you soon!
