The sushi here was pretty good. We came in about half hour before closing and for some reason, restaurants in Lyon don't open when the hours say they are open and close before the hours say they are closed. This was consistent across town, so travelers be wary, open at 7 actually means 7:30 and close at 10 means we don't let anyone in after 9:30. That said, they did let us in, but let us know that what was on the belt was what there was and they wouldn't be adding anything new, which is fair enough. We had some rolls that were not particularly glamorous because it was the end of the night, but were decent. We were mainly impressed with not having to go back to our hotel hungry. The wait staff didn't speak a lot of English, but made a sincere effort for us and were very friendly. As I don't speak any French, this was quite welcoming for some tired, hungry travelers.
We decided to go for Sushi as everything was closed on a sunday. Huge selection on the Kaiten Band but you can also order something if you want something special usually if you wait a little bit everything comes up. Really friendly staff.
Nothing to mention for the quality of the kitchen: we are accustomed and it is always good. However, the reception by the manager was deplorable. one of the guests with a dog, the manager said dryly that dogs were not allowed. on the bottom: okay. on the form: this manager has no sense of the clientele, he is aggressive and naughty, he doesn't listen to anything and doesn't take into account what they are told. Moreover, guessing that we were probably going to complain about his behavior, he said that the reservation had been cancelled to prevent us from giving our opinion! I had to intervene with the customer service of the fork and produce the money ticket so that the opportunity to give my opinion can be reactivated. such a bad faith on the part of a restorer is unacceptable and I had to report it.
We were looking for a good sushi restaurant near Part-Dieu and we are not disappointed. the concept of carpet is just a pleasure for the eyes and for the stomach and allows to taste a lot of small dishes that would not dare to order otherwise. the staff is very kind and very welcoming.
