The line moved efficiently, and even though I didn’t receive a receipt, the staff member seemed a bit puzzled when I was still waiting after she handed my card back. Despite that, it didn’t detract from my overall experience.
It's a Starbucks... I've never really had a negative experience at one, but this location seems to fluctuate between allowing inside ordering and seating or just using the drive-thru. During our visit, we could only access the drive-thru, while just a week prior we were able to walk in and place our order. It appears to depend on staffing or something similar. Just a heads-up about that.
I am quite frustrated with spending $5 on drinks that don't taste right. The Starbucks in Macon has consistently let me down, especially the one on Forsyth Rd. They struggle to make a proper vanilla sweet cream cold brew. Every time I visit, the drink is made incorrectly, and as soon as you leave Macon, you can find it prepared correctly elsewhere. This seems to be a problem of inadequate training and skill. The person responsible for training clearly isn't doing a good job, and management isn't taking the necessary steps to ensure their staff can make their signature beverages properly.
Starbucks is what many people consider to be the best coffee around, and I’m definitely one of them. I love getting the chocolate shavings on top with whipped cream.
It appears that this particular Starbucks has transformed its dining area into a storage space. If you check out the pictures, you'll notice several areas in the dining room cluttered with inventory. My brother-in-law, who visits this location daily and spends about $1,300 each year, drinks coffee twice a day every day. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been accompanying him to this Starbucks whenever I'm in town from North Carolina, and we always share two cups during my visit. One day, we decided to take advantage of the 50-cent refill option (considering each cup of regular coffee costs $2.94). We initially went through the drive-thru but then chose to go inside for our second cup (the refill). However, we were told by Sheranda, the shift manager, that we couldn't receive the refill price since we didn't dine in.
