Very few paintings, numbers on the guide have not stopped or explained anything, perhaps the audio guide explains more? Lunch was fine, I know it was a ground meal. Would have been nice if they had declared local cooking. On this trip you can learn more about the history of the area and people. Not so sure I have it!
Large view of glaciers from inside when only they treat more than a lady with money for everything! good coffee.
The Nativos Restaurant in Moreno Glacier is a great option. It has a fairly simple combination of menus, but there is something for everyone, including vegetarians and gluten intolerant as I am. The food is served in casoles on wooden plates that gives a kind of farm atmosphere. For a very touristic place it is a pity that the menu is not translated into English or accompanied with photos or symbols that help visitors to make their choice.
The only place to eat or drink in this place. All tourists are full during lunchtime. The Lammeintopf is good here.
When you get to Perito Moreno, most of the tour buses stop at the top of the hill where there are restrooms, a cafeteria, and a gift shop. The cafeteria only has cold sandwiches and no one there understands English so we ended up getting sandwiches that had cheese for a vegan, and a chicken sandwich that was missing the turkey! The gift shop has snacks that we loaded up on like chips and candy while we walked around the glacier and took photos. As we walked around the glacier, we discovered a restaurant further down that serves hot food and wine this was a much better place to eat! Take the time to find it and your money will be well spent!
