This restaurant is located inside Silent Shore Resort and Spa. It has a wonderful ambience with courteous staff. However, all good things stops here. Food was better during breakfast than dinner. Omelettes and dosa’s requested on order were good. However, sambar was too spicy. Pancakes were below average. Let’s talk about dinner We ordered Chicken Lollipops with Butter rotis and Murg Kolhapuri. Lollipops were fried more than usual. Main course was not impressive, chicken was boneless and not cooked well. However, gravy was better in taste. Overall, food was below average for the price that we paid. Special Note: If you are visiting this resort or restaurant by car for a dinner then do take out most care while entering or exiting the premises. Specially at Gate No. 2 the approach road is under construction with road divider has pot holes there is no street light during night times and you may end up bumping your car in that Street Divider.
The food is excellent! Especially the continental cuisine, The Indian cuisine is great, although not really exceptional, the ambience is serene, with a view of a lake and the garden is just spectacular and well maintained. The best Starters- Hara Bhara kabab (veg) Tandoori Chicken tikka. Best main course- Bangers and Mash, Choice of Chinese or American Chopsuey. Best Dessert- Chocolate brownie, Caramel Custard, Gajar ka Halwa.
This review is based on our stay at the resort over a long weekend. The resort has ample parking space and the restaurant is a short walk from the main gate. Along with the regular indoor seating, the restaurant has a well spread out outdoor seating arrangement on the resort lawn by an artificial lake. In the evening, with colourful lights dotting the lake and the lawn, and a nice breeze by the lake, the outdoor dining experience is quite nice. The breakfast buffet featured a mix of Indian and continental food, with a couple of live counters, and they didn't put out the same food everyday. We had our lunch and dinner a la carte. Food was well prepared, and tasty. We especially liked the servers at the restaurant. They were always at hand, with suggestions of food to try, and any other requests we had. It made the entire experience extremely pleasant. The prices are quite steep though, and once you factor in the taxes, the dent in the wallet is sizeable.
These guys still are charging 10% service charges in restaurant and according to government guidelines they should mention this in the menu card which they have not done... Already the GST on bill is 18% here and 10% service charges on that so total 28% taxes on the food you consume which is exorbitant charges anyone should pay after GST reduction as 90% hotels now charge 5% GST ....highly NOT recommend P.S....the quality and taste is not worth
