Tonica - Madgaon

We first discovered this restaurant during a previous holiday in Tarika. This year, we made the drive out of Benaulim to visit again, and it was definitely worth it. We enjoyed the golden prawns so much that we ended up going back twice!

We were familiar with this restaurant from a previous vacation we had in Tarika. This year, we drove from Benaulim to revisit it, and we were not disappointed. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went back twice! The golden prawns were absolutely delicious.

Our hotel (Regenta) was only a short distance from this restaurant. It is typically known for its selection of appetizers, with only a few Indian options available. It is a lovely and comfortable spot to enjoy a cold glass of beer on a hot afternoon, such as a Breez. In the evening, they set up plastic benches for a candlelit dinner outside, creating a romantic atmosphere under the stars. I sampled the chicken, fish, and Chinese dishes, all of which were delicious. The owner of the restaurant has even learned Russian to better communicate with customers. He mentioned that dishes are made to order, ensuring freshness and quality, although this means some wait time. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant as it is truly wonderful.
