The serving sizes were good, and I especially enjoyed the triple berry french toast. The Irish skillet was also tasty, with lots of melted mozzarella cheese on top of corned beef hash and hash browns. The pancakes were just okay. On my second visit (after Covid, 2 years later), I was pleased to find that the french toast was still excellent, now served with generous strawberries and whipped cream for just $1.99 extra. The hot syrup was a delightful addition. This time, I tried the Wisconsin Skillet, which included ham, onion, green pepper, melted cheese, and mushrooms, paired with perfectly cooked eggs over medium. I used a coupon from the local Bucky Book, saving some money on my meal. The service was quick, and our server Colton was fantastic.
Casual diner style restaurant that looks like it was frozen in time in the early 1990s. It was pretty busy when we visited, but they still got us seated and taken care of pretty quickly. The food was good and my whole group left fat and happy. I will certainly return.
Traditional family diner. Food tasted fresh and homemade with big portions. Staff was friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices. Will definitely return when I'm in Madison.
I remember going here as a kid like 20+ years ago. I don't remember it then, but everything was excellent today. Food was made well, tasted great, service was perfect as well. Nothing negative to say at all.
The attractive, red-haired, muscular server was excellent at his job and very charismatic. The food was also quite good!
